Nina Nesbitt;

Nina Nesbitt is a 19 year old singer/songwriter who has an unbelievable talent with rare determination. She got her first guitar just over four years ago, and with only finishing school in 2011, and doing gigs during her time at school, her success since then is remarkable.

Nina was bought up in Edinburgh by her music loving parents. Initially she wanted to be an author, but from the age of 6 she'd write short stories which she put into music at the age of ten when she got a keyboard.

She first sang in high school when she took part in a variety show, and after that she entered more shows and began playing at acoustic nights at Edinburgh's Electric Circus. Nina then started to post covers onto youtube of her idols, Kelly Clarkson, Ellie Goulding and Taylor Swift. She taught herself the guitar, and continued storytelling lyrics. One of her first songs she wrote was Standing On One Leg, which was wrote about her growing up.

Nina met Ed Sheeran at a Radio gig in Edinburgh, which she sang Standing on One Leg in front Ed, when he offered her to open his show in Glasgow. She was the offered to support Ed on tour and have a guest spot at his show at Shepherds Bush Empire. Also Example, who liked Nina, booked her to support three arena dates in 2012.

Nina turned down label offers for nine months as she was determined to build her fane base and develop her sound herself, she ignored all advice from youtube and saw an interest in her sweet, feisty folk-pop soar.

In 2012, Nina toured Europe with Ed Sheeran, and in april of that year she released her second EP; The Apple Tree. Her song reached the top 10 of iTunes, topping the iTunes singer/songwriter chart.

Nina finally signed a record deal with island records, but on her owen terms.

Nina's first major single came our in October 2012; Boy. Nina said that "its indicative of what's to come on my album". Nina is based in London to complete her debut album recording, which she is co-producing with Gosling.
