Ideal photos for digipack;

As our artist wasn't available to take pictures to put on our first draft we used photos from when we did our first day of filming for our video. There were a few things I noticed which needed improving for when we take our photos for the final thing. The lighting needed to be a lot brighter, her hair and makeup needs to be more visible and 'perfect'.
For the final digipack we will be taking photos against the white screen at school to make it look more professional and like something you'd see in stores.

To achieve this look on my digipack i'm going to take some pictures of our artist in front of the white screen at school. I will ensure that her hair and make up are done to perfection and that on the photos she looks the part. I'm going for the complete Nina Nesbitt look on my digipack.
I will have her with either red/pink lipstick, depending on what outfit she is wearing. Eyeliner drawn like on previous photos, and her hair backcombed and slightly wavy. Outfit wise, i'm thinking off either some shorts or another dress. As I want her playing the guitar in one on her photos, i'm hoping to position her in a way in looks like she knows what she's doing.

Hopefully once we've taken these photos our digipacks will look appealing and stand out for our target audience. I'm trying to achieve the 'popstar' yet 'girl next door' look on the digipack.

Initial thoughts on first photo shoot

From looking at the first photo shoot I did with Izzy I am already spotted some points I want to change to improve the photos.

*Firstly the lighting is not light enough. Instead of doing photos in one of the settings for the music video I will take some pictures in front of the white screen. This will mean I will have use of the professional lighting equipment resulting in my pictures being lighter and better quality therefore looking more professional. I will use the white screen in AVS room and have two lights, one left of her and one right of her.

* I will do more close up shots of Izzy. Instead of having her full body in the image and her guitar as I feel this is unnecessary for the digipak images. In most CD artwork there is rarely a picture of a full body shot of the artist. In the next photo shoot I will choose do more close up  posed expressions and some more relaxed poses such as natural smiles or some 'silly' faces. This means I will have more images to choose from and can fill up my 6 panel digipak with a variety of images.

This is an image of Nina Nesbitt. This is the type of look/image I am trying to recreate for my digipak. I will dress Izzy in a bold coloured top and then try and find a matching lipstick colour to go with it. The plain white background gives this image a professional look and makes the colours of her makeup and clothing stand out more.  The hairstyle is big and has volume. I can learn to recreate this look by watching this Youtube tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQTT7h83uU0 The expression is quite posy however quite simple. I feel these type of images will make my digipak look more professional than the ones I have just taken in my first photo shoot.

Cd Cover Analysis

Draft (practice shots)

This was the footage of our first day of filming. We noticed afterwards that the light was too dark, and she needs lighting up more. We reflected on this for next time as we managed to lighten up the room, making Izzy look a lot lighter.

Band Website

The homepage layout is displayed clearly for easy access to all of the other features of the site. The tabs at the top are written in bold, making them stand out on the hope page of the site. Near the top of the page next to her name is several social media networking icons including Facebook, twitter and Tumblr. There is her latest music video on the main page which is there to promote her music and show her fans her music.

This allows fans and other people to speak with Gabrielle through social networking sites which most of her target audience are likely to have. On the add you can see what Gabrielle has been up to and find out other information which comes directly from her, herself.

The add is on the side of the main page, its a link to buy her album, making it easier for fans to buy, and promote hers album more by showing viewers on the website that she has an album.

This photo gallery gives fans an insight to what gabrielle has been up too. Also allows people to see photo shoots which she has done, photos from gigs and music videos.
